2011 Glastron Classic
One of the sleekest looking boats that comes down with the Minnesota/Wisconsin Glastron Classic
group, the 007, took a couple of spins in front of Island Camping & Marina.
The 2011 Glastron Classic
Convention was held at Island
Camping and Marina from
August 19-21.  We had about
50 boats this year and roughly
110 people throughout the
weekend.  We had 7 states
represented and the furthest
traveled was from Phoenix,
AZ. And they pulled a boat all
the way up here from there!

Easily identifiable with its burnt orange color this boat flashed on down to Hok-si-la Beach.  It also won
the award for most coveted boat for 2011 and the award “Hard Luck - Better Luck Next Year” award for
her prop and motor difficulties.

Videos of a few of the interesting boats and folks,
as every year Glastron brings in quite the cast of characters.
Jeff, who was the runner up for the “Hard Luck – Better Luck Next Year” award, seemed to be plagued
with engine problems.  Fortunately, Jeff is quite the determined individual and would not let mechanical
difficulties ruin his annual event.
